The Counter-Strike: Source team just took a heavy loss over Royalflush, as they went live in the Upper Semi Finals, the team were then knocked down into the Lowerbracket and it was now time to pull up their socks and get playing like they do online, the team were not planned to play against Invicta in the Lower Semi Finals. If Core89 were to win this match, it would be a straight placement into the Lower Consolidation as they climb their way up to the Grand Final.

Core89 knew this was going to be a tough match and wasn't going to be easy as the group stages, in the end it was just another victory for the team as it took them even further to top spot. Core89 took an easy 16-5 victory over Invicta, this now took to the team to play Zen in the Lower Consolidation. Read on for more info on the result.

After the great defeat over Invicta, this meant Core89 would have to go up against Zen in the Lower Consolidation. If this was a win for the team, it would take them straight up into the Semi Finals. If Core89 were to go through to the Semi Finals, it would mean another meet up with RoyalFlush as they would battle it out to play against ZBoard in the Grand Final.

The Counter-Strike: Source team played their first Upperbracket match just last night, with a win over Infused. The team have done extremely well throughout the tournament, just upon till now where they face a tight defeat over Royalflush. The team werent really ready for the match, starting at 10:00am with players been out on the drink the previous night, wasnt all the right time.

Core89 vs Royalflush
First half went live, all went easy as Core89 started on CT and defended every site and keeping everything on lockdown, with great communications and positive playing. The team finished the first half with an easy victory of 12-3.

Second half went live, Royalflush were just on the favour as Core89 just struggled to get into the bomb sites and get everything covered, while Royalflush kept the right mentality and worked together, they managed to pull off a 16-14 victory over Core89.

The Counter-Strike: Source team have just been entered into the Upper bracket for a five win streak in the group stages, as they finished top spot with no losses. The team have been so committed and kept positive throughout the whole tournament so far and all the training they have been putting together for the event, might of just paid off.

The team were now up against Infused UK in the first round of the Counter-Strike: Source Upper bracket, this wasn't going to be easy, Infused are one of the highly rated teams in the UK and in the European scene. Both teams knew it was going to be one hell of a tight match, but Core89 came out on top. Read of for match report.

Core89 vs Infused UK - Report
As everything kicked off, with Core89 just rushing in at long, not really trying to get anything from the knife round, this round goes in the favor of Infused and the teams stay as put with Core89 on CT side and Infused on T side.

One of the tightest games of the whole event was just about to kick off, as they config was executed and everything just ran as it should. With Infused taking the first five rounds due to communication errors within the Core89 team, this is the point where the team pulled up their socks and bought up, with five easy rounds in the bag for Core89, everything was back on level terms. With entertaining play from both sides, we all knew this was going to be an extremely good game. Everything is really on the favour of Infused, as they took the easy bomb plants into B site, but the team worked together and scrambled up a nice 9-6 win to the Core89 squad.

The players then swapped round with Core89 now on the stronger force as Terrorist and Infused defending on Counter-Terrorists. Infused just got stronger as they took the first three rounds, Infused did seem to buy up on the second round which left Core89 just a little bit behind as they battled it out on pistols. It was now time for the buy and this is where the fun began, as Core89 then caught straight back up and went beyond the limits, as they went in the favor of 5-3 in the second half. Soon to be catched up as Infused then bought up with their defending of the sites, they look four easy rounds and they took they steadily caught back with a 7-5 lead. Core89 then pulled it all back together and took the win and finishing the game, the final score of the match was 16-14.

The team have now qualified for the Semi-Finals and will be up against Hostile or Royal-Flush, stay tuned for more info.

The Counter-Strike: Source were entered into TheSGL OneNightStand 10 cup, the team were aiming for another first place victory after the first spot in the previous event. The cup started on the 10th and was promoted to 32 teams to play, this would mean even more practise for centralan and more competition.

The team performed extremely well in the cup, after winning all the matches throughout the group stages and the quarter finals, as they cruised through the easy stages, it was time for the semi finals. The match was planned for tonight and was against the czech team, Defeaters. Unfortunately the core89 team were not able to play the rest of the cup due to they were travelling to the Centralan.

The Counter-Strike: Source team have been doing extremely well in TheSGL Steelseries League, as the battle it out with top contenders dystopia and Team-Coolermaster in the UK Premiership. All of the teams have had their good and bad days in tournament, with Core89 recently losing to dystopia after minor mistakes, could they pull it all back and take Gold in the next two final matches of the season.

The team are now going to be up against Team-Coolermaster tonight, this is going to be one hard match and possibly the toughest match in the whole season. Will they have the will power to pull off the unbelievable? Core89 have just won the One Night Stand Cup earlier last week and have proven themselves. Team-Coolermaster with perfect results all the way through the season, this is going to be the match to watch and the closest one also. However, the Core89 team did battle it out in a pcw earlier this week and managed a comfortable win but would all the training pay off? Lets find out.

Core89-Networks have been doing extremely well with past tournament and with the default win against ZelLion just last week, the team are now through to the next round and have maybe got one of the hardest teams in the tournament. TEK9 have already made their mark in the tournament after a victorious result against DEFEATERS.

The Call of Duty 4 team have been training extremely hard for this tournament and with the recent departure of BaxBany, the team will have to perform exceptionally well if they have a chance in winning this match and qualifying to the quarter finals. The team will be regaining their strength in August when the line-up will be complete.
